Parental Therapy/ Parent Coaching
Every parent is still a growing child inside…just trying to raise another little one while learning how to reparent themselves
An extra set of eyes to support the journey of parenting
The days of parents being expected to have all the answers are behind us. And yet, many of us still carry the pressure to be everything: the teacher, therapist, chef, mind reader, and calm emotional anchor—all while navigating our own complex lives.
Have you ever felt like:
You should know exactly what to do just because this is your child?
You don’t have permission to fall apart the way your child sometimes can?
You’re holding so much that it’s hard to even see how much you carry?
You’re not alone. And you’re not doing it wrong.
~ You’re doing something incredibly demanding—and you’re doing it with heart, intention, and resilience ~
I’m not here to tell you you’re not enough. I’m here to remind you that you already are. Sometimes, you just need space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with your own inner wisdom.
Parent Therapy: A Space to Feel Seen
Parenting can be overwhelming, beautiful, lonely, triggering, and deeply meaningful—all at once. Sometimes it’s hard to slow down enough to even notice how you’re doing.
In our work together, you’ll have a space that’s just for you—to explore:
What parenting means to you (and what it’s meant in your own life)
How you’re showing up for your child and yourself
What patterns, emotions, or narratives are shaping your parenting experience
We’ll use Reflective Practice, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and gentle skill-building to help you reconnect with your values, expand your capacity, and find steadier ground—emotionally, relationally, and within your nervous system.
~ You deserve the same kind of support and attunement you offer your child ~
Parent Coaching: Practical, Real Time Support
Sometimes it’s not just about insight—it’s about support in the moment.
Through parent coaching, I offer:
Real-time guidance during parent-child sessions
Feedback on your interactions, communication, and co-regulation
Tools to navigate triggering situations with more confidence and trust
We can also look at your home environment—the space you and your child share—and identify subtle ways to make it more supportive for connection, emotional expression, and ease.
~ Coaching is flexible and evolves with your family’s needs. We meet you exactly where you are ~
You deserve support too.
You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You just have to be open to support—and willing to walk your path with care and curiosity.
Reach out today…I’d be honored to walk with you
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Sessions happen between you and I on a frequency dependent on your needs. We discuss the needs of your home to help optimize the environment for you and your family, while also exploring how you can better approach and understand your child. Often times, to best understand what gets in the way of interacting with your child the way you hope for, we get to explore your life leading up to parenthood and throughout it. Being a parent is not done in a vacuum. You are the product of all the experiences in your life and often bringing a child into the world will highlight some of those experiences. Through this exploration we get to develop tools and skills to use when with your child during challenging moments.
-
Depending on your needs, and your child, dyadic sessions take place where we get to explore what is happening in real time and give you support on navigating challenging situations. Dyadic sessions always include a 10-15 minute discussion at the end without your child to discuss the session. Individual sessions will also take place at a frequency appropriate for your needs.
-
While I often have weekly sessions, you as the parent always have agency to advocate for your needs, and this is something I take into consideration when developing a schedule to provide you with support. We collaborate on finding a frequency that feels right, is feasible, and supportive.
-
Parent sessions can be done virtually, in office or in home (if appropriate) as they do not include the child. Parent coaching sessions can take place in office or in home (if appropriate).
